Good Morning friends,

With my first coffee in the morning,

Bakary Diallo, Rector of the African Virtual University  (African Virtual University, AVU, www.avu.org) was born in Senegal and educated in Canada, a veteran of education and new technologies, believes that e-learning can be a solution the shortcomings in Africa.

The AVU was born in 1997 as a World Bank proyect, is now a pan- African intergovernmental organization based in Nairobi with 53 centers in 27 countries.

Is becoming a very important role he is playing the role AVU spreading e-learning in Africa, despite the obstacles. The AVU, in eleven years, has 40,000 students and this is remarkable.

The role of education in Africa plays an important role. Overcome ignorance and create peace depends of  education.
